  1. Thick, heavy blade yet shaving sharp out of the box. Excellent fit, finish and balance. The micarta handle is very comfortable in my medium sized hand. Although not built as a fighter, it would be a formidable weapon for self defense. I see this as a true survival knife, capable of cutting, chopping and batoning wood with ease. The glass breaker pommel is a nice touch, maybe not useful in a camping/hunting role but would be a big plus if serving on an aircrew, or in many other military/law enforcement applications. The kydex sheath fits perfectly and the sliding tension/locking screw is an oustanding feature, the knife could easily be mounted for upside-down carry. The attachable belt clip is also a nice feature, facilitating easy on/off without removing a belt.

I own knives made by Buck, Gerber, Kershaw, Ka-Bar, Swamp Rat, Silver Stag and Bark River, but this is the knife that's now packed in my bugout bag. I highly recommend it.

One last thing, as mentioned in the other review, the Amazon price is very high. This knife can easily be found on a number of other websites in the $150 range.

  2. This knife is a great product but you can do a simple Google search and find it at a much better price, like $100.00 cheaper. I can't believe Amazon is ripping folks off like this.
